The next day, when Victoria was listening to the radio (she still couldn't get enough of Michaela's new hit) when she heard an advertisement for free tickets to Michaela's concert. The 4th caller would get two free tickets plus backstage passes! She had to win those bonuses. She immediately took out her purple AT&T Razor cell phone and dialed the number that was directed from the speaker on the radio. Somebody answered. "Kudos! You are our lucky 4th caller! What is your name?" What a shock! She couldn't believe it! She had won; she had actually in real life positively won! Wait, the speaker had asked Victoria her name. "Um, uh, my name is Victoria Walsh," stuttered Victoria. "Great, Victoria. Now could you please tell us your age, address, phone number and how excited you are to win these once-in-a-lifetime free mosh pit tickets plus backstage passes!" "I'm 12 years old, I live at 2857 Brooke Road, Albany, New York, my cell phone number is (794) 9303-4938, and I am so excited to win this bonus that I don't believe it's true!" Victoria practically screamed. "Awesome! Just remember to stop by the Hoffman House tomorrow at 4:00 pm to collect your ticket and to sign some papers." replied the speaker.
The following day was so extremely different beyond Victoria's wildest dreams. All of a sudden she was the most popular girl in the school. Everybody wanted to be her best friend, for one purpose only. They all wanted to go to the concert with her. But even though many girls (and boys for that matter) tempted her with all kinds of gizmos and gadgets, Victoria already knew that she was going to take her best friend, Jessica Huash to the concert. Besides, she had better things to do than make friends with every single person in school. She had things to do like go shopping for clothes for the concert, get her nails done for the concert, and pick up she tickets for the concert.
Finally, it was the day of the concert. Victoria was mesmerized as she stepped foot into the Rock Block, the area where the concert was being held. Even though she was trying to, she couldn't pay attention to the concert because she was thinking of all the magic was held in the backstage passes. Jessica felt the same way. Finally, when the concert ended, it was time to go backstage.
Before she could meet Michaela, she met up with the scary looking security guard. "Hello, my name is Victoria Walsh, the radio contest winner, and this is my friend Jessica Huash," stated Victoria.
"May I please see your passes," said the big man in a half bored half tough voice. The two girls hurriedly fumbled for their passes, afraid to madden the security guard. "OK, you guys can go in now," said the security guard as he opened the door for them.
What a surprise did the girls get! This was no little dressing room or anything, it was a party! The girls decided to go anyway; at least they would get to meet Michaela. When they finally met up with her, she was like nothing they had expected.
"Hey, you're the wannabe me contest winner, right?" said Michaela in a snotty tone. Michaela looked so much different in person. She was wearing way too much makeup, even though she looked normal from afar.
"Uh, yeah," replied the girls.
"Oh. Of course. You think that I'm so pretty and skinny and that I'm your idol. But let me tell you this, little girls; pick another role model, 'cuz you really don't want to mess with me," said Michaela. With one hair flip Michaela was gone as she walked away like she was a supermodel on a runway.
The girls stared in awe as they tried to take in all that had just happened in less than 30 seconds. "Wow, we didn't even get an autograph or a picture," stated Jessica.
"Yeah. Superstars really can have an attitude. I guess you really can't judge a book by its cover," replied Victoria in a slightly disappointed voice.

A nicely detailed story about how people aren't always what you think they are. I thought the ending was good. I'd give it a 9 out of 10.
