Dear Britany Spears

Dear Brittany Spears,

I think that you should seriously rethink your actions and how they are affecting people. All your drinking is making you mentally ill, not just a pain in the @#$%*&. Now you're both. Seriously, take the time to read this advice and maybe you can realize how much everyone thinks you are messed up and then realize how right they are. And trust me, they are pretty darn right.

If you just want publicity, try doing something good to help the world. I suggest donating money to a nonprofit organization or actually doing the dirty work yourself. Doing something good feels great and makes people like you. But the first lesson in helping the world is not being drunk while doing it. The second lesson is not being snobby about doing it and bragging a lot.

As for being nice to your kids, well I think that reading one of those cheap parenting books you get at the Dollar Store would be a step up from what you're doing now. How about you think how your drinking is affecting your kids? I don't blame the CPS (child protective service) for taking them from you. They should send them to therapy lessons, too.

You are setting a terrible example to kids who once loved your music, including your sister. I think that the way Jamie is pregnant at 16. How stupid is that?!?!?! Man, now with you and your sister, you've passed the Lohans in the competition to win America's Most Messed Up Family.

And shaving your head was just plain stupid. Be thankfull for the fact that you actually have hair, unlike the unlucky people who have cancer. How do you think they're feeling right now?

So take this bit of advice and maybe you won't go to jail. Wait, scratch that. you need to go to some serious rehab treatment, maybe also with a couple sessions with Dr.Phil. Never mind, your life is pretty messed up beyond repair.

Yours Truly,

NO SNOW?!?!

It was a Saturday night, and I was watching the news. The weatherman was predicting snow, and I was really excited because if there was snow, then I wouldn't have Hebrew School the next morning. Woohoo! I really didn't like Hebrew School, and that meant I could sleep in the next morning.
I was very dissapointed when at 7:45 the next morning I felt shaking as my mom tried to wake me up. I groaned at having to get up.
"No snow?" I inquiered, still half asleep. "I have to go to Hebrew School?"
"Yes, sweetie, there wasn't any snow. Now what do you want for breakfast?" Ugh, I thought. Another three hours of endless recitation of hebrew prayers and learing how to conjugate verbs when I would much rather be sleeping.

The Sound of Silence

The sound of silence says so much
while never uttering a single word
many embraced within it's clutch
with one single word you can escape
peeling off that piece of scotch tape
with so many faces
going so many places
the sound of silence can be soft and sweet
or where awkward and eerie meet
a colorless blanket that wraps around us
a large temper tantrum
throwing a fuss
the sound of silence can appear out of nowhere
and leave just as quickly
disapearing in the air
off to go meet someone else in need
the sound of silence travels far
indeed

The Library on a Snowy Day

The sound of the clock goes tick tock tick tock
flurries outside
forming a winter blanket on the ground outside
typing on a computer
click click
the sound of pages turning
look outside the window
at first you think that the outside is quiet but if you listen
you hear a car
leaving the school
kids outside
yelling cries of joy
embracing in the comfort of the winter snow

The Truth

"Oh my god, are you serious?"asked Chloe, a 7th grader at Jefferson Middle School. "He is?"

"Yeah, he's gonna ask you out,"replied Kristy, Chloe's best friend. "I heard it directly from Zach who heard it from Travis who heard it from Trevor who heard it from Josh himself."

"What are you going to say?" inquiered Katie, Chloe's other friend.

"I don't know," replied Chloe, who was feeling kind of uncomfortable with all of the questioning. The truth was, Chloe actually liked Josh, but all of her friends thought he was a jerk who used girls.

"Say no. You know he's just gonna dump you. He just uses girls. Remember how he's liked 6 girls already this year, and the second quarter just began," stated Kristy. Chloe knew that this was true, even though she still liked him. How could this be? wondered Chloe. I like him even though I know he's just gonna dump me for some other girl.

"No, say yes and then dump him really quickly. He deserves it," snorted Katie, with a flip of her hair. It wasn't that Katie and Kristy were trying to be mean, they just didn't want her to get hurt.

"I still don't know, I just..." Chloe never got to finish her sentence because then Josh came along with Zach, Trevor, and Travis. She blushed and then resumed to getting her math notebook out of her locker.

Then lunch came, the time when Katie predicted Josh would ask her out. Kristy and Katie didn't want to eat outside, which is where Chloe wanted to eat with her other friends Natalie, Elissa, and Rachel. But Josh and his crew eventually found her there, and tried to ask her out there.

Josh was to embarrassed to ask her if he liked her, so he asked Travis to do it. She told him that she liked him, but she didn't know if he was just using her and that the was scared that he would dump her for another girl. Travis ran off to Josh to deliver the message. He returned saying that Josh said that he really liked Chloe, more than anybody else.

When Josh and Chloe finally caught up with each other, Travis, Trevor, Zach, Elissa, Natalie, and Rachel ran behind a tree, trying to give them some privacy while really evesdropping. Finally Josh said "Wanna go out?"

Chloe said "Yes," and they hugged. "I'll see you around. I have to go now," said Chloe as she ran down into the school to tell Katie and Kristy.

"Guess what,"she said. "Josh is now my boyfriend!"

"Really?!?!?!" they said in unison. "O-M-G. How'd that happen?!?!" Chloe proceeded to tell them everything. "I told him that I liked him, but that I didn't know if he was just using me. He told me that he honestly and truly liked me, and I think he really meant it. I know it sounds wierd, but I like him, and he likes me," said Chloe. It was about time the told her friends the truth of how she felt about Josh.

"Well, if that's they way you feel, then we respect that. I have to go to history now, I'll see you soon," said Katie, as she and Kristy walked off.

During science, Chloe couldn't stop thinking about how lucky she was. With a boyfriend who cared about her and friends who understood her feelings, she thought she was the most fortunate person in the world.

You Said...

You said that we would always be
Why aren't you talking to me?

You said that everything would be okay
Why aren't you saying that to me today?

You said that it would be alright
you said that when I was crying
and you held me tight

You said that when I called you
You'd come running fast
Where were you when I needed you last?

You said that I had a magnificent appeal
But now I say it's time time to get real

All those things you said at that at that time
You were as sweet as a peach
But now you're as sour as a lime

If those things you said you meant,
I'll never know
but now
Why are your pants hanging so low?

Barbie Doll

Oh, my barbie doll resting in my hands,
you were my friend, my companion
now you are different
now you are my enemy
the cause for my yearn
so perfect in every way
shining blonde hair
perfectly skinny
bright blue eyes
perfectly skinny
flawless face
perfectly skinny
and to think of all the other little barbie dolls
exactly like you
it's like the real world
so many clueless perfect girls
and then the ones who live life
it would be nice to be you for a day
but oh, the life you have
you can only move when somebody makes you
some naive little girl controlling your every move
now I want to be me
the person who knows they are doing fine
no matter what society thinks
oh, Barbie doll
long ago I was excited to play with you
then I wanted to be you
but now looking at you
there is no more you
because this is MY life
the one I love
no matter what Barbie thinks

Supernova Disappointment

"30 seconds!" cheered Victoria Walsh. "29, 28, 27…" Michaela's world premiere of her new hit single "The Clash of My Love" was just about to air. "6, 5, 4…" Victoria was just another of Michaela Marriot's adoring fans whose only goal in life was to meet her. "3, 2…"Victoria's free time was listening to the radio to one of Michaela's songs, and during the commercial breaks listening to see if there were any contests in which the prize was two free tickets to one of Michaela's concerts including backstage passes. "ONE! “Suddenly, a burst of pop music came from the speakers of an 18 inch, high def, plasma edition flat screen TV.
The next day, when Victoria was listening to the radio (she still couldn't get enough of Michaela's new hit) when she heard an advertisement for free tickets to Michaela's concert. The 4th caller would get two free tickets plus backstage passes! She had to win those bonuses. She immediately took out her purple AT&T Razor cell phone and dialed the number that was directed from the speaker on the radio. Somebody answered. "Kudos! You are our lucky 4th caller! What is your name?" What a shock! She couldn't believe it! She had won; she had actually in real life positively won! Wait, the speaker had asked Victoria her name. "Um, uh, my name is Victoria Walsh," stuttered Victoria. "Great, Victoria. Now could you please tell us your age, address, phone number and how excited you are to win these once-in-a-lifetime free mosh pit tickets plus backstage passes!" "I'm 12 years old, I live at 2857 Brooke Road, Albany, New York, my cell phone number is (794) 9303-4938, and I am so excited to win this bonus that I don't believe it's true!" Victoria practically screamed. "Awesome! Just remember to stop by the Hoffman House tomorrow at 4:00 pm to collect your ticket and to sign some papers." replied the speaker.
The following day was so extremely different beyond Victoria's wildest dreams. All of a sudden she was the most popular girl in the school. Everybody wanted to be her best friend, for one purpose only. They all wanted to go to the concert with her. But even though many girls (and boys for that matter) tempted her with all kinds of gizmos and gadgets, Victoria already knew that she was going to take her best friend, Jessica Huash to the concert. Besides, she had better things to do than make friends with every single person in school. She had things to do like go shopping for clothes for the concert, get her nails done for the concert, and pick up she tickets for the concert.
Finally, it was the day of the concert. Victoria was mesmerized as she stepped foot into the Rock Block, the area where the concert was being held. Even though she was trying to, she couldn't pay attention to the concert because she was thinking of all the magic was held in the backstage passes. Jessica felt the same way. Finally, when the concert ended, it was time to go backstage.
Before she could meet Michaela, she met up with the scary looking security guard. "Hello, my name is Victoria Walsh, the radio contest winner, and this is my friend Jessica Huash," stated Victoria.
"May I please see your passes," said the big man in a half bored half tough voice. The two girls hurriedly fumbled for their passes, afraid to madden the security guard. "OK, you guys can go in now," said the security guard as he opened the door for them.
What a surprise did the girls get! This was no little dressing room or anything, it was a party! The girls decided to go anyway; at least they would get to meet Michaela. When they finally met up with her, she was like nothing they had expected.
"Hey, you're the wannabe me contest winner, right?" said Michaela in a snotty tone. Michaela looked so much different in person. She was wearing way too much makeup, even though she looked normal from afar.
"Uh, yeah," replied the girls.
"Oh. Of course. You think that I'm so pretty and skinny and that I'm your idol. But let me tell you this, little girls; pick another role model, 'cuz you really don't want to mess with me," said Michaela. With one hair flip Michaela was gone as she walked away like she was a supermodel on a runway.
The girls stared in awe as they tried to take in all that had just happened in less than 30 seconds. "Wow, we didn't even get an autograph or a picture," stated Jessica.
"Yeah. Superstars really can have an attitude. I guess you really can't judge a book by its cover," replied Victoria in a slightly disappointed voice.

Spilling the Beans on Fashionable Jeans

Guys:Look for dark wash jeans without any holes. A little bling is fine, but don't overdo it!Try not to go for flares. Jeans shouldn't be too tight or too loose. They should be straight all the way from the hips to the ankles, for a normal pair. If you want a skinny jean, it still shouldn't be too tight. Speaking of hips and ankles, a big no-no is mommy jeans. Mommy jeans are bluish, faded, old jeans that are tough, and start big around the hips and get thinner around the ankles, but are too short and still big. Jeans should be a little worn in but not completely faded. They should be a little long.

Girls: Do a dark wash, almost black. Length should be long, so that if you were wearing flip-flops the hem would just barely skim the ground. If you prefer a skinny jean, it should be closer to your legs but not skin-tight so that you can hardly breathe and they start to fall off and you have to keep pulling up. If you prefer a flair, the flair should start a couple inches past the knee. Jeans shouldn't be too streachy or too tough, too heavy or too light.

Boys and tips for them

Boys can be such jerks sometimes. Like, in gym class if a boy likes you he'l try to impress you by running really fast, doing extra push-ups and jerky stuff like that. If only guys knew that girls who actually have minds and are worth liking really don't care about that stuff. It's almost the same with being smart. Except girls care if you try and don't care if you're really smart. Plus, boys are really anoying when they act like school is a big joke. It also makes it really ovious that they like you when you act all tough-guy around you. It also bugs me when a boy is really unsanitary and smells bad. So to all boys, if you like a girl, wear some kind of strongish deodorant, but PLEASE don't spend 5 minutes spraying bottles of axe over your entire body!!Girls appreciate people who aren't geeks or nerds, so no showing off brainiac stuff, even if their T-shirts say "I "heart" nerds" or something like that. But that doesn't mean a girl does't appreciate a smart boy, in fact, most girls like someone smart. You might also want tobe a little bit sensitive. Not like all crying about puppies or stuff, because that's just fake, but world issues like global warming or something like that. Clothing is, believe it or not, can realy affect how a girl sees you. Dress a little bit simple but still trendy, but try not to overdo it or stand out. Don'ts are polos, front facing baseball caps, tye dye, wide shouldered tank tops (except for beaters), mommy jeans (see blog entitled Spilling the Beans on Fashionable Jeans for more info on mommy jeans and other beany jeanies), too tight clothing and too loose clothing. Apparel should also be stainless and fresh. Another thing that I hate in a boy is stupid pickup lines and excessive flirting. Hair is another thing that bugs me. Hair should be a boy's typical haicut, not a mowhawk or too long. It should be about two inches at the longest if you have straight hair, but if you have curly hair or hair you think is really frizzy, you can do a shorter do. Hair should also be not really tangly, not really dirty/greasy, and PLEASE not a lot of gel.Wash your hair(and body) every night. To all boys, trust me on all this advice.
